No shade on my roof. I have no trees or other objects anywhere near the
roof. So it gets a full days worth of sun. And where I live it doesn't rain
much. We do get a lot of fog and mist almost every night though so this
probably allows whatever is growing up there to grow.
I'll have to look into the sulfer compounds. Sounds like the same stuff used
on peach trees to eliminate leaf curl might do the trick if sprayed on the
roof.

Your roof is not able to dry out, you probably have too much shade
over your roof.... get rid of whatever is shading your roof and the
moss will die.
