Never had a problem with rats or snakes.

As I mentioned in another post above, these cats are crawling under my
house and out-buildings, then tearing out the underfloor insulation so
they can build a nest.  I'm also getting massive outbreaks of fleas.

Unfortunately, a shotgun is not an option.
