And you do have a point, but in reality, how are you going to get the
neirghbour to comply to confine the chooks if he/she doesn't choose to
do so?

You have to live there with your neighbours and finding a solution
(which may just be you learning to like chooks in the yard) is one
option. People can get very hung up about the most ridiculous things
and from your first post the mention of a few dropping from 7 fowl on
more than 1.5 acres was not sounding very encouraging. Be thankful it
isn't geese.

My mention about droppings was more in jest than anything else. I'm
not too concerned about that in reality. I just don't like chickens,
and I am watching an operation grow on a piece of property which cannot
sustain itself. The net effect is an overflow onto neighboring
properties. I'm fairly tolerant. Up until the chickens, I have seen a
lot more than chooks running through the yard. And now that the
chickens are making a habit of my property, I decided it was time to
say something. At some point people have to be accountable, and
running an operation which clearly is larger than what ones own
property can handle is not a behavior of someone acting in a
responsible or accountable manor.

My post here was more about how folks who run this kind of operation
would view this annoyance. Based on the feedback, I think I can
reasonably conclude folks are usually responsible. And I'm dealing
with an inconsiderate personality.

Thanks to all who provided input on this. It was amusing at the very
least. :-)
