They are being paid by the chinese state engineering agency in charge of the
projects. I sure a few will take off unless they are hold captives back
home.
Don't forget, $2 a day is a kings wage in china, $2.50 an hour is heaven to
them rice eating slaves.
I worked the sands years back, 12 hour shifts and forced overtime with no
qual control is the reason for the bad workmanship. Nothing to do but drink
with Newfies and screw the local toothless squaws when the bars close. You
save your cash and get the *** out as soon as possible.

After living in Oilsands country for twenty years I can tell you
that pride of workmanship and quality work is not something that
normally goes hand in hand from people with trade papers.
Oh by the way - You stated they will be paid less than a tenth of what
the going rate is..... PROVE THAT STATEMENT IS TRUE.
After all - If a journeyman is getting say 22 bucks and hour your
claiming that these imported workers will be paid two bucks an hour.
