Also read an interesting response comment yesterday...commentor said that to be effective, the nations on both sides of the border need to police it, and the Mexico isn't. S/he suggested we declare war on Mexico and take over 500 ft to 100 miles or so. The result? Mexicans in the area become legal, we get plenty of labor, immigration is no longer a problem, and you better believe the Mexicans will rush their army forward to start policing their side of the border! Tempting thought...!
