The other day on TV a show about people with dirty jobs had the host at
a chicken hatchery... sexing newborn chickens.
One of the workers explained that he himself sexed about 20,000 chicks
a day.
20,000 chicks times ten days..... 200,000 chickens.
Times one hundred days...... 2,000,000 chickens.
In one year - approximately..... 7,000,000 chickens.
That's just one guy at one hatchery.
Just out of curiousity just how many chickens are processed or consumed
in o year in the USA.
Now they say you have about 300,000,000 people in the US.
If they ate just ten chickens a year that would be 3,000,000,000.
Or a little over 8 million chickens per day.
Am I close.
