The question is who made the switch? Was it a "factory sealed box" or did you buy it from some kind of discounted customer returns? You can sometimes get good deals on open box merchandise, but it really pays to inspect it in front of a sales person. I would seriously doubt that Walmart executives made a decision to switch camera models. Nor is it likely that Canon mis-packaged the camera. More likely it was a customer who brought it back as a return item. I'd believe that Walmart never checked the contents of the box.
