Personally, I can't stand driving for half an hour to park in a parking
lot 100 yards away from the front door of a 4 city block sized store, to
wade through aisles of worthless junk to try to find a few items, then
spend half an hour just to get through the checkout line, cart sometimes
heavy objects the 100 yards back to my pickup and spend another half an
hour driving home.

I let my fingers do the walking, via Google. My biggest single business
partner is UPS. Last week I bought another gig of ram for $80. The
month before I bought an external -R +R DL DVD burner with video capture
and a deluxe package of software for $149. We bought 3 Persian rugs
this year online. We bought patio furniture online (some assembly
required). The price is often 50% of Wal-Mart or less, and you don't
have to put up with the inconvenience. I buy a lot of tools online,
though my air compressor and pressure washer were purchased locally.

UPS is the best deal around.
