Re: How many use propane over oil?

I live in NW Washington State. I decided to heat with oil after I did
the math using the BTU value of propane and #2 furnace oil. Oil was
around 140,000 BTU's per gallon and propane around 91,000. At the time
I had a 100 gallon propane tank and a 500 (+) oil tank and the two
fuels were about the same delivered price per gallon given my tank
sizes. Oil was clearly cheaper for me to heat with and as I bought a
Toyotomi on-demand water heater to use as a boiler I had a very
efficient HW source as well I did this three years ago and haven't
regreted it yet.
