when our 5000 gallon tank sprung a few leaks on the bottom, I climbed in,
jumped out - man that water is COLD, drained the tank, climbed back in,
drilled out the holes, and plugged the holes with a bolt, big washer, big
piece of steel plate, holding flat a piece of rubber (or some such thing).
I think I used 1/2" bolts, and the rubber was probably 4" square. It has
been about three years, no leaks at all.
