Hello again all,
Thanks for the excellent ideas!
We have "no" way to see the mailbox, there far are too many trees and too
much undergrowth.
I had a similar thought as some of you: to use a pay-as-you-go cell phone
that would send a text message to the house. T-mobile has an excellent deal
for pay-as-you-go. But, now, after reading all the posts, I guess it' not
"that" important that I know instantly when the mail arrives. (That, plus
T-mobile doesn't cover our area.) In time, I guess I'll know what time the
regular carrier comes around, and what his/her days off are.
