That gives me a warm, secure feeling. Every neighbor for miles in any
direction owns at least a hunting rifle. One neighbor has a whole room
for his gun collection. He lets me shoot them, too. He has a Ruger #1
in .338WM that is a real nice shooter.
Last weekend I shot a steel match at the rod and gun club. The guy who
won is some sort of IPSC champion. You would have to be real foolish to
get into a gunfight with him. Nice guy. Invited me to come practice
with him. My rod and gun club has a coded gate, and is members and
their guests only. I never bother to lock my car at the club. It's
nice to trust the people around you.
