Here's an alternate suggestion. Check out the little Remington
electric chainsaws that are available most everywhere including
Walmart. Usually $39.
I've been using one for a couple of years now to put in firewood at my
cabin. I don't burn all that much - a couple of cords at most - but
I'm well pleased with the saw's performance. I run it either on a
long extension cord or from a 1kw inverter when I'm out in the truck.
At the price, I figure I can just throw it away when it's worn out.
Half the price and a lot less effort than those hand saws.
