He came close but no cigar.  Well, there is a cigar but it is one of
those that blow up in your face.

I feel his statement was almost morally correct but in failing to
mention the 9/11 survivors along with those who died and were injured
he failed miserably to even say the "right" thing.

I think that is up to those who wish to build the mosque and the 9/11
survivors.

And have the 9/11 survivors voted on this; or are just a few very
vocal?

I cannot speak for either group. I can only hope they would
arrive at a common ground which respects the Constitution of my
beloved nation, the memories of those taken by extremists and a
religion which is not at fault for the loss of those 2,976 innocents
and injury to many more.

His ability to request respect for the Muslims who want to build the
community center and failure to do the same for 3,000+ dead, injured
and bereaved is without sense and compassion.
