As you should. A lot of people want the USA to compete freely in
the market without government interference. That really sounds good,
but we should have taken a lesson from the Japanese when they were
kicking our ass in the automobile markets.

One of the biggest advantage foreign companies have over those of
the USA is that they work within their government, and their country's
companies, to gain advantage. On the other hand we spend all of our
energy fighting amongst ourselves, competing against one another, and
worrying about labels like socialism.

There have been periods of history where we stood together, and won.
Co-ops, were very popular in the Midwest and West, and they were
pretty much communal. People worked together. I don't see that
happening now.

Many are following the Ayn Rand philosophy that greed is good. The
thing is, they only think greed is good when the wealthy get from the
less wealthy. When the less wealthy's greed makes laws so they get
some, it is bad.
