The familiarity you had with Vista and XP isn't quite as useful using System 7. If you're going to use the Internet and e-mail system in System 7, you have to sign on to either hotmail or livemail. It's best to use Mozilla or Chrome. Personally, at this time, I don't care for System 7 but I may get used to it, in a couple of years. <g>
Trying to upgrade my windows machine to Windows 7 from Vista. I'm5th time is the charm. Had to disable just about every driver i have
having zero joy.
on this thing.
Some of my newer programs that I bought for my other computers can't be installed in System 7. For example: Tuneup Utilities 2009 and Perfect Disk Optimizer cannot be installed and the makers have not yet released updates.
I've only played with it for a short time but so far, I like it. Vista
was a piece of crap...This is more lean and mean.
So far, no problems with any programs. I had to take Itunes off
during the upgrade because the advisor said that it wasn't compatible
but I put it back on after the upgrade and it works as it should.
You lucked out. I tried again to install these programs and a display said no you don't. <g>
I don't care for Vista too but it was easier to navigate due to first having XP. Oh well, 7 is here and it's going to stay but I'm not going to update my other computers although I have found 7 to be lean and slightly faster. Why fix what ain't broke.
