Since it fits. The both of you have shown in your own words

If you lived in a society where the offspring of a inter-racial

marriage?
No need to respond. I ask the question to take what the JOTP may have
been thinking when he directed the couple to another JOTP to an
extreme. I can totally understand being hesitant to perform the
marriage when my anticipation was that the children of that marriage
would come to harm. It would be very difficult for me to get past the
thought that I was at least partially responsible for any harm which
did come to those children.
In this instance I feel such hesitancy should not result in the
refusal to issue a marriage license but having those feeling and
acting on them does not automatically make someone a racists.
For all I know this JOTP might well be a racist but that is not a
conclusion I would reach based on the limited reporting done up to
this point. Nor would I level such a charge at Wally or Nick based on
what I've seen here. In fact, based on what I've seen here I feel
they are not racists.
But that is just me. I am not asking you buy into any of this. I
would much prefer you not even respond since my goal is only to
provide you with some food to thought. If that food makes you puke,
you have my apology.

OK- FORGET the private versus public nature of the employees, is this any
different than pharmacists being allowed to not fill prescriptions for the
morning after pill on the basis of personal opposition to abortion. It
happens all the time, there's even state laws requiring they be allowed to
opt out with no penalty to them. Both are acting on their persoanl
convictions.
