Ray,
The free verson at
http://www.lavasoft.com/
is an excellent demand-scanner for adware and spyware.
Keep in mind that AdAware is more specialized to adware and spyware, while
Malwarebytes also searches for viruses and trojans, and worms. It may or may
not find additional components.
For the most thorough cleaning, I'd also suggest SpybotSD, at
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html
On install, uncheck its Tea Timer and Immunize functions. Trend already does
that, and you'd be duplicating effort (those are the reason Trend uninstalls
Spybot when Trend installs).

Ray,
I will run mbam-setup.exe about once a week as Beauregard said.
That's the installer for the product. Just run the program. You should
have
an icon for it.
