I disagree.

...many do. But there are some whose crimes are so egregious that they
don't deserve to continue their lives. And it's also part of why I
will never make a good liberal.

Liberalism does not mean defending the guilty at any cost.

...liberals in this country have been famous for doing just that. Look
at the ACLU, they have taken defending the indefensible to ridiculous
levels.

I agree that they go overboard at times, but on the whole they're simply
defending Constitutional rights.
