I tried to get that, but don't want the cable's DVR 'cuz it doesn't have a way
to take the movie file off the disk. If I'm going to make a recording of
something, then I want to burn a DVD and save it.

I _wanted_ TIVO, which you supposedly can do that with, and which has a pretty
formidable search engine for finding all the programs that you might be
interested in (all movies with "Clint Eastwood" as director...) and the box for
that was $300, not too bad, but the box required 2 cablecards to decode the 2
tuners, and they wanted $150 each for those. $600 total? No sale. So, I
don't see much commercial TV other than Fox News, which I don't really care so
much about the interruptions.
