We are a bilingual state, here in New Mexico. Being originally from
Michigan, I learned about this in 5th grade social studies (US History).
I live on a land grant from the King of Spain, known as the Otero land
grant, which is about four hundred years old. It would be hard to do a
title search without some knowledge of Spanish.
