Sorry, poorly worded question. It can be taken a couple of ways but I
will assume you are using IE. If that is a correct assumption, could
the thwarted installation effort originated via ActiveX?
ActiveX apparently is used only in IE and that could be why I'm not
seeing the same sort of thing in Firefox.
I'm the most-competent with a computer in my family.
When I talk about hazards, I talk of activex.
If you don't trust it, avoid it like the plague.
