NEW YORK - Time Warner Cable Inc said on Wednesday it is planning a
trial to bill high-speed Internet subscribers based on their amount of
usage rather than a flat fee, the standard industry practice.

They already do that on GCI cable in Alaska. Last time I
checked, there is a $20/gigabyte fee for going over the
limit.

Mine has had a limit for sometime as well but from what I understand,
they are leaning towards replacing the flat rate fee with a usage fee
period.

I think for the average user it won't make much of a difference but
maybe those family's that has multiple teenagers in the house might
feel a pinch with all the music and video downloads they do.
