A few minutes ago we had two shakers here in the
Bay Area. About 8:04 PM PDT
I assume the USGS will come out with something soon.
Felt it here in Brentwood about 40 miles east of
San Francisco. It was also felt as far north as Santa Rosa.
The center was in Alum Rock section of San Jose.
Now they say it was about a 5.6
The USGS is saying that it was a 5.6 quake.
Their Version #3 summary;
"A moderate earthquake occurred at 8:04:54 PM (PDT) on Tuesday,
October 30, 2007. The magnitude 5.6 event occurred 8 km (5 miles) NNE
of Alum Rock, CA. The hypocentral depth is 9 km ( 6 miles)."
