Personally, I wish them all the luck in the world. I'm a little bored
with Apple's snoot-in-the-air attitude of superiority and would very
much like to see another vender bring an product to market that is
just as innovative but lower in cost.

Further, it may be that Google releases its product via more than one
cell phone service provider. The second article indicates Google is
in talks with more than one. The pressure is certainly on for the
U.S. providers to follow the more open European model and Google may
help that happen.
