....so you must be an enthusiast. I was too...once. Also had an almost
lifelong membership to the NRA, until the mania over gun control and
the pleas for more money got to be too much.

...which is nothing but an explanation.

....but it is a true explanation. We don't have the need for a militia
anymore and to consider the bulk of gun owners "well regulated" is a
sick joke.

16) You have to believe the ACLU, whose exclusive reason for being is
to protect against abuses of the Bill of Rights, is bad but the NRA
whose goals include legalizing assault rifles, cop killer bullets and
explosives is good.

Actually, those are all worthwhile goals for any free American. Though
after reading some of the right wingers, I might backtrack on letting them
have explosives. =)

....agree to disagree. Not on letting the wingnutz have explosives, but
on the idea of securing that sort of ordinance by any American. No
need, no reason and they get used for bad deeds far too often to make
them feasible for common ownership.
