Not that anyone was doubting its airworthiness. Well, it is the
maiden passenger voyage and many folks do avoid such new things until
they have been around a little while for the bugs to be worked out.

A most impressive plane. I'd love to take a tour but doubt I'll ever
see the insides of one of these monsters in person. I seriously doubt
I'll ever fly in one. In fact I doubt I'll ever fly again. I don't
much care for take-offs or landings.

None-the-less, this plane is a remarkable achievement. Right up there
with the Concorde even if it is not quite as sexy. It remains to be
seen if this airframe will ever be profitable. It will have to sell
many more copies than originally planned due to the cost over-runs.

Hey Chris,

do I hear you sobbing about the yet another delay due to technical
problems of the "Dreamliner"???

No you don't. When you say "yet", I'm not aware that there have been
other significant delays but...
That's because they kept a low profile....

I'm proud Boeing managed to end up delayed without the cross-cultural
differences that were partially responsible for the A380's delays. It
is a six month delay which, if I remember correctly, is much shorter
than the A380's delay. That'll teach you guys to try and work with
the French. ;-))

Why? I sold my EADS-Shares shortly after the announcement of the A380.
and bought Volkswagen.....for as "little" as 83 EURO.....which I sold
5 weeks ago for 185 EURO....and bought Porsche.
As it lookes like, I'll keep them for some 20 month...until Porsche
has set-up their european Holding propper....and then I sell & go on
full retirement.

But don't you worry....as long as there are Booing ;-) and EADS only
sharing the market, everything will be all right!
So, better watch the Russians & the Chinks.

It is just a matter of time. Don't forget India.
India ? Not on short- to middle terms.....so far they can't even fly
down a stair.
But sure, they got to be watched.

Nicholas
