Vista got this one right. 'Bout Time
I usually end up downloading a large number of pictures from my camera. All
these pictures invariable are identified was numbers, like 000001.jpg and
000002.jpg. I, of course have to rename them.
When you click on "rename" in Vista, it automatically highlights the file
name, BUT not the file extension. I bet you I've typed "jpg" or "mpg"
fifteen or twenty thousand times in the last few years. No more. It's a
good thing.
