Offshore concierge medicine, a topic that has been discussed here
before, is imo the healthcare wave of the future (for those who can
afford it). US engineering firms, who specialize in the design and
building of healthcare facilities, are already marketing turnkey
for-profit medical centers to for-profit specialized physician
medical groups; which would then be built off the US coast, thus
avoiding US laws, rules, and regulations driving up the cost of
treatment.
You mean like HMOs that Newtty and the other Republicans put into
effect to drain money away from Health care providers?
No, HMOs are not exempt from US regulatory authority.
And guess
what, Newtty invested in one called Golden Rule in the beginning -
The name tells you who got the gold!
Golden Rule is my HSA provider and medical insurance company (that I
joined when Teddy first enacted the temporary and experimental MSA
law, one of the very few companies underwriting & offering MSA's at
that time); and even as expensive as they are, they are imo very
effective and efficient company I might add. Your complaint with
Golden Rule is what again?
The shift money from Medical Health Providers to sleazy investors!
After 30+ years of working in and for the heaIthcare field (in one of my
many other lifetimes), I prefer words like they get cost effective
management of the for-profit medical treatment business, out of the hands of
non business trained doctors, whose idea of a quantitative cost v. benefit
analysis is whether there is any "quality medical care".
