Tell that to the re-emerging taliban. Tell that to the families of the
service people returning home in boxes. And explain the feasiblility
of that to the tax payers when the (in excess of) one trillion dollar
bill needs satisfying. This idiot has used the top team in the majors
to take on the podunk little league allstars and you are crowing about
victory...which hasn't been assured yet? Wake up...

A no-hitter is an achievement measured solely by only one criterion. There's a lot to dislike about this manager, but since 9/11 there has not been a repeat, and since we would unquestionably blame him for a recurrence we must credit him for the lack of one.

A no-hitter, so far. That says nothing about victory because the game continues. But it's definitely a no-hitter for 56 inningmonths. There's much about this administration to dislike, but this I like a lot!

...that is a very skewed view of reality. And it has nothing to do
with the fact that they can attack at any time because we are no safer
here than we were on 9/10. However we are supplying them with a much
better trained and equipped organization thanks to Bushandco's ongoing
abortion in Iraq.

That is silly. If "they can attack at any time" they would and will. The only reason they didn't was because they couldn't, and the credit goes beyond crossed fingers. What, you think they ran out of virgins at 71?

The President's first responsibility is the protection of this nation. In current times, that translates to defense against a repetition of 9/11, and for 56 months he has succeeded against a well-funded enemy that is eager to die to repeat such a "victory". And again, had there been a repeat we all - including me - would instantly put his head in the guillotine. So why not give him credit for something that he has unquestionably, unarguably, measurably, visibly, achieved? He may be blasted off the mound soon, but I respect his 56 hitless innings until now.
