Instead of arguing personalities, philosophy, pseudo-history, etc., why not read the original article and dig into Sperry's claimed "facts"? For guidance, find out what people are saying after Sperry's material stimulated them.
Friends and I have already found some useful substantiation. Give it a shot - you will find the task interesting.
