FYIS.org goes:

It should aggrevate a Liberal to no end<lol>,

Yes, how annoying for them to have to watch the President make an
ass of himself.

It's a cultural thingee. It is surely un-imaginable for the Queen
to engage in such a display, I'm sure. American's do not elect
royalty to Presidency.

Until now.

However, for Americans, a most egregious insult is to say that
someone "does not have a sense of humor".

That's funny, considering that most of you don't.

I cannot speak for Kennedy or Eisenhower, but
from Nixon forward, Presidents and all politicians are expected to
withstand some (relatively gentle) jabs with good graces at the
Correspondent's dinner.

Yes I understand that. But Bush made a mockery of himself. That was
supposed to be Stephen Colbert's job.

(Nixon even appeared on Laugh In, several times.)

You can bet that the President's little skit was thoroughly vetted
well ahead of time.

I rather think he didn't vet it himself. He appeared not to know what
was going on.

Don't think, especially when you don't have a clue as to what you are
talking about.

Bush wrote some of the material, including the Steve Bridges
line calling the First Lady "hot".
