Another interesting fact: Mike Hammer's secretary, Velda, was played by Mary Tyler Moore in one (I think) episode. After that, you heard her voice, but only saw her legs. She also played the secretary, Peggy, in Mannix, Mike Connors' series.

IIRC, Mickey Spillane played MH in at least one movie. And, as Barbara pointed out, I was incorrect about MTM playing Mannix secretary, Peggy. She played Sam on Richard Diamond, Private Detective.
