I'm not surprised that California would be the first state to be
subjected to such an order from a judge but medical professionals
generally subscribe to "do no harm" oath.

Oh?

Is that why doctors and nurses are doing abortions?

Nick,

If the same doctors and nurses who refuse to administer a death-dealing solution to someone to be executed were then to perform an abortion, you might have a point.

Barbara

I don't think that is applicable in this case. Medical people have taken an oath that equates to doing no harm. Medical people do abortions and from where I view the subject, that's doing harm; as interrupting the process of natural birth.

I'm not disputing that, Nick. You seem to be implying some kind of hypocrisy because doctors won't deal death in an execution, but they will in an abortion. I'm saying there is no hypocrisy unless it is the same doctor in both cases. Not all doctors perform abortions. In fact those that do comprise a very small minority. You are painting all doctors with a very wide brush.

Barbara

I'm not painting doctors any color with any brush. All I'm saying is doctors took an oath to do no harm yet doctors do harm. That's it.
