Any such accident (resulting in death) will require a Coroner's Inquest at
a bare minimum. In Texas, apparently, it will go to a Grand Jury.

In all likelihood, if the gentleman dies, VP Chaney will draw an involuntary
manslaughter charge. However, a conviction is not automatic, by any means.
For instance, if it can be shown that if attorney, in-advertently walked
into the line of fire, or violated any other general rule of hunting, no
conviction is likely.

While I cannot be certain, right now I'd wager that there are several secret
service agents that saw exactly what happened. (I'd bet that VP's with
cardiac conditions, walking around with big guns, just drives the Secret
Service into spasms of frustration.) I don't know the rules, but I'd assume
that Secret Service Agents are subject to grand jury subpoenas, just like
everyone else.

While it certainly will not stop the loonytoons from saying such, a cover-up
conspiracy is close to impossible under these circumstances.

If I was Cheney's attorney, I'd tell him to "SHUT UP", and stay that way.
