I had a 61 (I think) MG sedan... 4-door. Beautiful little (and I do mean
little) car. Leather, burled walnut trim, black exterior. Only problem was
the starter would get caught in a "dead spot" and you either had to open the
hood and push the button on the solenoid or push it. I chose the former most
times. Oh, and it would stop running on occasion when the lights were
switched on...

The last time it happened I was barreling down I-5 on my way to San Diego
when it got dark enough to switch on the lights.... *poof* engine dies.
Press clutch pedal, switch off lights, release clutch (gently), car
restarts... now running again with no lights, take On-ramp off the freeway
to Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach, careen into Shell station and borrow
screwdriver and needlenose pliers. Eventually fix minor electrical
connection problem at regulator and head on down the freeway with no further
trouble.

Nice car but lots of adventures...
