Can a company in US hire the services of a foreign company as
independent contractor?
Yes.
For example a Web Design company in Latin
America. I mean if there is any law against it.
No.
How the payment should
be processed? Should they pay by transferring money to a bank account
in the foreign country for example?
The bank transfer idea will work. Sending them a check would work.
Wal-Mart Money Transfer. Any method you could use to pay a contractor
located 13 doors up the street will probably work in Timhojistan. You could
send the money to their U.S. bank account. The problem is not how to pay,
the problem is when. Whether to pay in advance or after performance or
through a letter of credit will be the bone of contention if both parties
are wise.
