Re: Being held prisoner by ASA with a student loan

Btw, I'm a "her" not a him. AFA "who put us in this situ?" We take
FULL responsibility. If not, we would not be trying to PAY IT OFF.
Thanks for the encouragement. Real helpful. Oh, and btw, the reason
we got in this situ in the first place was not any fault of our own.
We just graduated college at the lowest point of the New England
economy back in the early 90's, aka the New England "depression" when
my husband was standing on line in the middle of November in the
freezing rain waiting to apply for a job as a bellman at the Long Warf
Marriott in Boston (over 2 hours from our home 1 way drive) because he
WANTED A JOB to PAY OUR BILLS. But even at that, he was standing there
with a PhD carrying a fancy leather brief case who also was applying
for the same job and out of work because of the economy. So, hope that
answers that for you Mister Wise-guy. We've wanted to take full
responsibility from the start, we've never tried to escape our
responsibility, we've just wanted the first chance at paying this
honestly that we've had in over 15 years as we have spent the last 10
years trying to get on our feet from that whole mess after we lost our
house, our car, everything. There were times when things were so hard
back then that I was working 60+ hours a week as COLLECTION ASST SUP
for SEARS ROEBUCK, before they closed my unit, that my husband would
spend hours trying to find a job and then had to take our daughter,
then 5, to his mother's house just to eat and have HEAT! So, I take
great offense at your smart comment. Next time, ask with a little more
feeling and a lot more class and you will get a kinder, less abrassive
answer. Oh, btw, it might intrigue you to know that we consider
ourselves to be ultra conservatives, so we don't look to the gov or
social programs to help us out of any problems! We just want an honest
chance to pay back that WHICH WE OWE! So, unless you have something
productive to offer, or at the very least, encouraging, then I would
kindly appreciate that you would BACK OFF.
