Salt-Battery Product Liability

Not so fast counselor..
The events preceding an obvious product liability case are not relevant.
Neither the snow or the exposure to cold had anything to do with the
catastrophic failure of his "portable illumination unit PIU".
A reasonable expectation from a manufacturer would be a wrist safety harness
based on the historical record of these units dropping, some for no reason
at all. You may want to consider suing the battery manufacturer for their
cavalier attitude regarding any redundant safety devices that should be
imbedded in the battery itself. Most people are unaware that once a battery
leaves the safety of the PIU it has exposed uninsulated areas that could
become lethal ... a good example would be an accidentally energizing a
detonator.`
