Re: school supplies!

I am not trying to be funny, but you said you got it in the same
mailing 10 days ago. Either summer really does go by fast, or there is
something I missed.

What did you miss? I got that she got the list and the forms 10 days ago. She scheduled an appointment back in April for a physical for September. The form can't be signed because they don't have the physical, but they will have one in three weeks. Where did you get that summer goes by fast? I'm really just curious, because I missed what you say you're missing.

I'm confused too, the call in April was because I was attempting to make sure my kids did get their physicals around a year after the last one, you'd think calling 9 months after the last one would make that likely! The timing of the appointment was nothing to do with us not being able to make appointment we were offered, we turned down a couple of times, but they would have been less than a week earlier.

Had I known about the need for the form, I could have got it signed before the last physical ran out, which probably would have been valid for the school year, or I could have got myself on a wait list to call in case of cancellation, or something, it still might have not worked out, but I'd have had a chance!

As it was I had no chance, it would have been trivial had he had a physical within the last year, though still a short space of time to fit getting the form to the doctor, them doing it and getting it back to me into.

So calling and finding out that even this was not possible was rather stressful, given the letter said it was essential to have it returned by the first day of school - so I called the school and they told me not to worry just bring it in after the appointment we already had scheduled, so the whole process created much unnecessary stress, which wouldn't have happened had I got the form sooner - we had had a mailing of paperwork about 2 months ago with things like immunisation form in it and every other thing you could think of. My guess is this form was accidentally missed out as the school didn't have a K class last year, so it came in a mailing that was a welcome letter for the child, though given the school supplies were part of the welcome letter, I was a bit peeved that they hadn't sent that along with the admin mailing.

Cheers
