I often tell people that right around one year is often a bad time to
wean for that very reason -- that it tends to be a clingy stage with a
lot of kids. If you want to wean at around a year, fifteen months or
so is often a lot easier than twelve months. Of course the dates vary
from kid to kid, but in general.
