Killfiles. That's about it.

Killfile anything with gmail, googlemail, yahoo.com.cn, and hotmail in the
address. Killfile any poster using googlegroups. Killfile messages by
keyword such as watches, replica, etc.
I miss posts from actual people (such as the OP, who is using
googlegroups)
but they're not worth all the spam I'd be getting otherwise.

Yes you would - you've set up a way exclusive set of killfiles. New
posters
often use things like gmail and yahoo, and killfiling things like "watch"
means
you cut out posts that talk about, say, having a big brother watch a
little
brother in the playground.

If these kids of posts get a response from a regular, then I'll see them.
