My mistake, I thought a post about "Books Banned in the U.S.A." would
be about books banned in the USA.

Are there any books actually banned in the US? Other than pron or
libel of course.

"MoveOn.org, George Soros and, to a great extent, Hollywood, have
created specifically the type of environment George Clooney warns
about in "Good Night, and Good Luck." Yet the multifaceted star

exhort against when filled with gays is a useful tool you embrace when
used to shut out those with whom you disagree."

Irony thy name is Usenet...

Tom states, with some good measure of justification, that movements to ban
certain books from school libraries and the like is *not* the same as "banning
them from the U.S.A.". Hyperbole duly noted.

.... but then his sig line cites real (MoveOn.org) and supposed ("Hollywood")
liberal-progressive influences as creating an atmosphere similar to that of the
McCarthy days. 'Scuse me, but there does NOT seem to be a House Committee of
Un-left-sympathetic Activities stripping people of their reputations and jobs!
