well... im 18 and 14 weeks pregnant, not even in college,
and i was a honor roll kinda girl through school.. so its
not always what you want to happen to happen... life
throws unexpected things at you every now and then. i just
got a big one!!
Yes, life does throw some curves; however, if you are
sexually active then protection is a must.
don't assume that she wasn't. two of my neices & one SIL have
gotten pregnant while on birth control pills (used as
directed, i'll add). while the pill may be 98% effective, that
2% failure can really be a shock.
when i was working with teenage boys, i'd tend to advise (if
they asked) NOT to trust that their girlfriend wouldn't get
pregnant, even if she said she was taking birth control. boys
really need to learn to be responsible enough to use condoms
no matter what the girl says, both for disease protection &
extra security (and the girls should insist on them for the
same reasons).
