I don't know either, although I have a boy. He's only 5, so there's no covering up in front of him. If he follows the same pattern as his sister, he'll get modest way before I do, but time will tell.
Maybe I misunderstood the OP, though - was he thinking it's odd for a parent to be seen in *underwear*? I'm 53, and my parents certainly didn't make any attempt to be fully dressed in front of me or my siblings.
