Re: choosing a car

Minivans are dreadful to drive. I've driven quite a few , and they are
dogs - hard to handle, slow, bog down on curves, poor visibility. They're
convenient and easy to load passengers in ( not cargo, as much, minivans
tend to sacrifice cargo space for passenger space), but for someone used
to a sportier car, like a Passat, they are torture.

we'd obviously test drive, though I wouldn't consider a Passat sporty.

Ease of loading passengers is important to me, our Passat is easier than our
Polo, but if DD doesn't figure out how to get in herself (DS had it months
before the age she is now), I'm going to find it increasingly difficult to
hoist her in and out.
