It's great that your parents were good with these things - many aren't.
Not the kids fault, but the parents.

No my mother was good at things like this.. my father would have spent what
little we did have on pot and beer. My mom just learned how to cook a full
meal for under 1.00$ a meal. Thank goodness for spam casserol *eewwwww*
