No I have a long posting history in misc.kids , alt.mothers and
misc.kids.pregnancy I know it is hard to believe that normal kids do things
like this sometimes but As referance I never did cut my own hair. Someone
else did when I was little but I never did it.. I used to do the string
thing but I dont remember it ever getting stuck like happens to Bonnie. I
think I was old enough to get it off though.

My Mom has no advise to get her to stop doing it and my MIL.. like many of
you ask why I LET her do it.. Well she didnt ask my permission so I did not
LET her do anything.

Just to jump in ... of course normal kids do this. And of course the
best of all parents put things away in places they believe are safe
only to find out that their kids have hit a developmental milestone or
been studying them and suddenly, its not safe anymore. When One was a
baby, we lived in a building that had a small playground with a gate
that had a lock. Everyone felt pretty safe that kids under the age of
say 3 couldn't figure it out, so they could run around the yard without
an adult being in arm's reach. Until One came along. At just 18
months, the first time he undid the lock, we thought it was a fluke,
but it wasn't. My brother's son did the same with the (at that time)
state of the art child gate.

Yes, you DO need a safer place for the scissors now (maybe a locked
drawer?) ... until she figures that place out as well.
