Being Asians we do enjoy Mac Donalds French fries once a
while as the kids love it.
it's an aquired taste. don't take the kids to McD's & they
won't aquire a taste for bad French fries :)
For a healthier version of it, I suggest parents grill the
french fries instead of deep fry them.It taste just as good
& kids still enjoy them. This is especially good if you are
serving french fries often for your family...minus the oil
in your cooking!
in the US, French fries served at home are generally bought
frozen & baked in the oven. they aren't as greasy as those
fried in deep fat.
i, personally, don't like the flavor that freezing causes in
potatoes so we don't eat those much. i do like roasted potato
sticks though. cut potatoes into the size "fry" you like,
spray with olive oil & bake.
