As I think about
it, I'd much rather think about us switching with DD. Not sure, though,
if cramping our stuff in the small room would make sense, though. I
think I'd rather find a way to manage a crib in our room if need be

How about putting the two girls' beds and a few toys in their room and
putting their dresser/clothes in your room (you keep the big one)?

That's what I would suggest. I'm sure you could
probably fit the two beds and maybe a changing table in
there. Clothing storage could be in your room. Did you
say there was a basement bedroom? That could be a toy
room where all the toys are kept, since they likely
wouldn't fit in the girls' room.

Best wishes,
Ericka

I didn't think of that... Our room is terribly cramped, but, I also cleaned
out our clothes in the closet... Hauled a good 2 fair sized boxes off to the
goodwill, and we can definitely part with the TV, which does take up a bit
of the room...
Maybe just keeping 2 babies in the small room would work out fine. TBH, I
didn't think about kicking the extra stuff out of DD's room... I can see a
possibility of 2 cribs fitting in that room on opposite walls. The room
just seems to have such a silly setup, and no, we don't plan to stay here
forever.

One other possibility is to consider moving the dressers to another
room altogether. We have 2 dressers in our living room. You can
drape a nice scarf/runner along the top to dress it up.

A friend of mine 'flipped' her apartment by making what would normally
be considered a living room, the bedroom and vice versa.
